Great post JJ. Loved every bit of it! I’ve learned 6 languages as an adult and can relate to every point you made.

The preconception that we can’t learn a language as an adult is unfortunately very hard to get rid of for most people but I feel your post did a great job at summarizing the book. Who knows, some people might even get inspired to finally start!

If you want to dive in some more reading about learning, I’d advise on “How We Learn” from Benedict Carey. It isn’t about languages specifically but opened my eyes to potential new ways to learn faster. It also made me start to read insightful studies about the subject. Couldn’t recommend enough!
