Oh yes, Duolingo can be fun if you make it so! I used it for a while too (went up to a 365-day streak at one point last year) but I believe it really depends on the language you learn. I found Asian languages’ content to be of rather low quality on Duolingo which is part of the reason why I stopped using it.
If it works for you and you’re having fun though, then keep the good fun and take your time! After all, if you’re at a 208-day streak, it’s made you at least stay consistent and that’s the most important.
