Overcoming My Disease Made Me A Better Man
When I was about 5 or 6, I was diagnosed with a version of myasthenia focused on my legs’ muscles. Due to this, I didn’t have reflexes I should have had and I also had much lesser stronger legs compared to others. On top of that, because of that disease, I had to go to a physiotherapist to learn how to run properly.
I was originally told I would have to take medicine for the rest of my life but that since it wasn’t a too serious condition of myasthenia, I should be able to live a normal life.
As years passed by, the amount of medicine grew quickly and went from half a pill in the morning to 1 full in the morning, another one at lunch and another half in the evening.
The taste was awful and I hated it. The idea alone to take this for the rest of my life was painful.
When I reach 14 or 15 year’s old, I decided on my own to stop taking my medicine. At that point, I had noted the major effect of the medicine was that it gave me a lot more energy throughout the day.
I figured I could just get used to feeling tired and it wouldn’t have much of an impact anymore.
So I started doing two things.
