I have talked numerous times about knowing your and the importance of having them well to become a better version of yourself.

However, I haven’t discussed much the importance of looking again at those and both the themselves and you wish to reach them.

As a matter of fact, setting goals is crucial. If you let yourself follow the flow of life without actively striving to get outside of your comfort zone and develop yourself, you will never find .

Think about the times you have been the happiest in your life. What happened back then? I trust that most of those were following an actual move towards those becoming true.

Unexpected happiness rarely happens.

You won’t get to the top of a mountain without climbing it. You won’t speak language X without studying for it. You won’t find the partner you want without actually working for it. The list goes on.

This being said, setting goals is only the first step in this process. Even if you proactively work tirelessly towards it, both the society around you and your mindset will still evolve on their own, to all the components around you.

For this reason, you need to make the time to observe, analyze what you set your mind to and .

There are many questions you need to ask yourself during such a process but here are a few ones to start you off:

  • Do I still hope to accomplish X? If yes, is the reason still the same and why? If no, why not anymore?
  • Do I still believe in goal X?
  • Have I moved towards it as I planned? If not, what prevented me from doing so?
  • Did I forget some of my goals along the way? If yes, Do I still want to go after it?
  • Did a new way to reach my goal appear? If yes, is it a more efficient way to get there?
  • Is there something that I miss from before I started this process? If yes, what and why? Can it be inserted again in my life?
  • What have I done better than expected?
  • What could have been done better?
  • How have those changes affected my life so far?
  • What more impacts can be expected along the way?

Again, the list goes on.

Find the questions that fit you in the list above, add yours, and re-evaluate where you are at currently.

Making sure you needed to do this work on yourself is critical for your improvement.

Just like any project, there needs to be some sort of to figure out what needs to be to obtain the best results.

This process of reviewing your current status needs to be done at least if not a few times. You can start with a small analysis once and then, months later, follow-up with a more of yourself.

I just recently worked on my own goals again, after a bit less than 6 months. This allowed me to observe where I have striven and actually followed the steps I planned for myself, as well as where I let myself go or what I missed.

The satisfaction that can be obtained with such an action is unbelievable. It also provides you with a to work towards your goals, which is something we all need at one point in our lives.
